Nothing exciting to report with 525, but it'll be on record. 310 off the line. I purchased as 3rd owner September 11, 2001, with 1500 miles on the clock.
First owner bought for his wife, who didn't like it, as it was "too fast/powerful". Second owner (my apologies I can't remember his name) as a flipper (lived in Crystal Lake suburb, Minnesota). A terrific person, totally transparent is the purchase. Included with purchase was a pickup truck of related automobilia.
525 currently is pushing close to 60k miles, with no known current issues. Besides known X nuances, it only had 1, which I created. Both oil pumps became scored (floating silicon in oil), and started puking all of the oil out of the engine when running (over pressurized oil system due to sucking air).
Bike originally went to Minneapolis dealership, then to Alabama dealership, and back to Minnesota dealership.
Its been a great bike... and I've learned a lot.
