ya oil is still marking full iv even pulled the tapid covers (valve covers) n cams n timing gear are all wet with oil so??. also have gotten the after market pick up tube but no instructions need to know what n where the allen plug goes that was in the kit? :o

I'm guessing that you can turn the motor over by hand? .... as I stated in the last post?
The pipe plug with the allens head end, goes into the port to the right of the pick up tube by the tranny. You have to thread it first, then screw it in there. Doing so will block off that port, and the pick up tube will work as designed. Be very cautious about leaving ANY METAL SHAVINGS
As your post is a bit vague for me to figure out where you are at, at this point on your X..... I need more info...

Be very cautious about leaving any metal shavings in those threads or the other side of the hole you thread.
Its cast aluminum, so a magnet isn't going to work..... stuff a rag in there, that you know you can retreive when done....
Maybe even run a lot of a fluid thru the oil fill tube, just to make sure....that they all come out...
If your engine is "locked" up, and you have verified this.... the pipe plug is not going to fix the problem.

well i dont know where im at right now with it just confused but ya the plug wont fix just wanting to know where it goes! yes im in northwestern new mexico in the four corners area ! and no i really havent tried to turn it by hand i tried to push it in gear and it wont roll thats when the mechanic and friend said it was locked and i laoded it up took home and now have in peices in my garage !!

He lives in the Carlsbad area.... and said he'd see what he could do for you over the phone. Like I said his is for sale currently, and he is pretty knowledgeable about X's, as he did all his own work....
He'll ask the correct questions to get you in the right direction....

my thoughts right now about your X...
you may have a fuel pump issue .... the sputtering
you may have an intake problem due to the oil puking onto the air filter, and/or the throttle mounting bracket was never updated....
your tranny may have an issue.....
or your engine may really be locked up....
give Humberto a call....

ok thank you i will sure check these things out and at the least ill call humberto! i still need to know if i have to rebuild the engine if someone knows how much i can boar out the jugs and where i can get the rings or a kit????? really thanks man !

if you do actually need to rebuild..... there will be no "kit".... you'll be buying parts by component....
Humberto, is a great guy, and knows his way around X's.....
