I am trying to find an after market windshield for my Super X. Anybody know of one that will fit?
Thanks! Eric near Little Falls, MN

I've got a wind vest on my X.... its not a full width type, but its very functional, and looks nice ( .http://www.windvest.com/ ).
There was one outfit selling full sized ones on ebay, a couple of weeks ago, and I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the company. They offered different colored tints...
They're out there.... hopefully someone reading this will post....

Thank you for the lead. I will follow-up.
Ride safe.

Hmm..I'll bump this thread to the top...no point starting a new one.
Are there replacement windshields available for those who have the hardware on their bike? I only need the acrylic part, not the mounting kit. I would imagine there are others in the same situation.
Mine has a few cracks started and it's only a matter of time before they propagate.

Cee Bailey's has one on their website. Standard size or taller and in a few different colors.

Hey, thank you very much for that tip. I see the windshield but, not the sliding piece that fills the gap to the headlight. I can find out when I order. It's also nice to see that it's a little thicker than stock.
Mine has a few bolt hole cracks starting and a few more down at the bottom edge...probably started from the manufacturing saw marks. I can't be the only one.

There was one on E-Bay... Up to $300.00+ now... Used, original...

Don't need the mounts and wouldn't deprive somebody else of getting them.
(and I have one in the sealed box that I bought for 1525)
The plastic is obviously a wear item so I just wanted to figure out how carefully to treat the one on the Jennie.

I was talking to Marty today and they have lexan replacements. Might give them a call.

I used my old one and traced the design by pressing it as flat as possible then making the mounting holes just slightly larger.
I used a sheet of polycarbonate (Lexan) from the local plastic distributor, a sanding block to smooth out the edges after cutting with a jig saw. DO NOT use acrylic or any other plastic as they will probably break when you force it to the shape of the mounting hardware.
It turned out really nice and took about an hour to do. The cost of the polycarbonate should be about $20.00 ....
The flat sheet was 1/8" x 24" x 24" ... had plenty of room ... I used a light gray but clear will be a lot easier to find and better for riding at night. I have been in the plastic biz for about 30 years and part of my old company sold to people making windshields.
