Title: Front brake light switch part#
Post by: joecal on April 30, 2013, 07:09:15 PM
Well, I got the bike delivered today and it looks really nice, a little dusty but I took care of that already. I took it for a short ride for gas and it runs really well. I was wondering if anyone has the part # for the front brake light switch, mines bad. I remember changing both front and rear on my last X. I know the front one was a Honda part#, so if anyone has that # I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Joe

You'll also find that taking the switch off and cleaning it with a squirt of electrial cleaner will get it to make contact... Work it a few times and it should be o.k.... On your rear brake light switch located along the lower frame on the left side before the swing arm, check to make sure it has not come unplugged. Mine use to come unplugged and I tie wrapped it on, problem solved!

Thanks Jumper,
I already replaced the switch and thought I should have tried that after taking off the old one. I noticed a small hole that I could have sprayed some contact cleaner in. Oh well, I only paid $12.00 for it including shipping on ebay.
