I installed this oil cooler and fan several years ago. It has stopped running. I checked the wiring, fuse, etc, but don't see anything wrong. I have no experience with checking electricity. Any suggestions or helpful websites?
Thanks,
Bill

Very possible the fan went bad...
Jamie/Marty do sell them separate.... Mine went bad a couple of years ago.
To test.... Just get a simple "test light" available at any parts store. Find a good ground for the clip side (motor mounts, starter bolts, etc). Turn your ignition on. And use the probe end on the fan side of the switch.
Lite in test lite comes on..... But fan doesn't..... Fan bad. Lite doesn't come on switch bad or there is a problem with the wiring....
Hope this helps... Come on back if needed

Bruce,
Thanks. I will check.

When I hook the fan up directly to the battery, it runs fine. When I hook it with the relay and sensor switch, juice shows going into the fan on the positive lead and coming out of the fan on the negative connection, but the fan is not turning. I don't know what I am missing.
:(

Sounds like a relay has burnt out? I hook mine up to a switch and turn on and off as needed..

Jumper,
Thanks, I guess that's my next move. Do you know why there are two wires (orange and yellow) going frm the fuse area to the relay?

Bill... No.. I do not know why there are two different wires from the fuse.. You might test each on to make sure that is not a part of your problem...
