Lindbergh's own site says he paid $500 for the plane they claim this bike was traded for. They also say he arrived at the airstrip on a Harley. No mention of what happened to whatever brand of bike he arrived on.
It would be very interesting to see the documentation the seller has.
Even if the story is complete BS, it's a cool piece of history. Not sure it's $25,000 cool.
