Title: Examinator Diagnostic Kit
Post by: #941 on July 10, 2015, 12:37:44 PM
Examinator Diagnostic Kit

I need to buy or rent an examinator to fine tune my ecm.  I had Jamie Jones load a new tune, " ... specifically, the 8352B tune. Air leakage is set at 7.22, which is the normal average."  It needs further tuning with the ECM on the bike.

Does anyone have the  Examinator Diagnostic Kit to sell or rent?

Thanks

Bill

Bill,
I'm not really sure why you would want the factory Examinator other than to own a collectible. I've always wanted one, but for only the collectible value. Its fairly primitive by todays standard. I'll admit right here though, I'm not at all sure what that device is capable of.
The Tune Jamie loaded is built to operate off of the superXtune program Jamie/Tim built a few years ago...
I really don't know a lot about the Examinator, other than they are fairly rare to find, and I've heard of at least one story where someone used it on our new tunes, and the Examinator took the tune completely out and replaced it with the OEM tune.
Besides all of that, the price of the Examinator I'm pretty sure is going to be more than the cost of the tune "Key" and the program for 941.
If cost is really an issue. Lets start with where are you located, so we can find someone local that has the superXtune on their computer.
That way you can  purchase the tune "KEY" and contact the local, to arrange a get together to fine tune your machine.
Good Luck,
Bruce
