Hi all, getting ready to ride 1756 in a few weeks, after 4 months of winter! Would love to get a windshield and hard bags for it, if anyone knows what I can use or convert.
Thanks for any help

I would love to see what kind of hard bags would work well. You'll have to take photos when you get that far

Heres one being sold by a dealer with hard bags to give you an idea of what it's going to look like

Wow, that actually goes together really good. Thanks for that link Jake!

There is one fellow out there who is making hard bags out of two EH rear fenders. I can't remember where I saw it, but it would certainly have perfect body lines for our bikes. Maybe Bruce can remember who was doing that.
I couldn't find an EH windshield for 901, so I ended up using a windshield from a Yamaha Star "Stratoliner". I had a friend fabricate some brackets that mount where the original EH mounts would go, then I had them chromed. Turned out nicely, and I can very easily remove my windshield. When I get a chance, I'll post pictures of it.

Over on the Yahoo! Resource board there's a fella who adapted Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad hard bags to his X. He also added a Harley batwing fairing, lower fairings, and top case to make what he calls a "Tour X". It looks pretty good.

Mike.... I remember the shot of those fender/bags.... I liked them a lot... but to be honest, I don't remember who it was that made them.... very nice look though...
My computer (fairly new) won't let me navigate the Yahoo site anymore.... so I only get posts from there via email..... but I'm sure if you can still get into the photos on that site you'd be able to see them....
Just like what John was talking about with the vulcan bags....
John that bike, although very unique and ingenious, wasn't to my liking.... looked very HD with the final product. Who ever that was, did a very nice job of it.... as it looked factory...
Got the ABATE show this weekend here.... every year I say I'm not gonna go, and I end up going because I know somebody showing.... guess I better quit saying that....
My problem with the show, is that its not a good place for a show. In fact when not showing bikes, they put up temporary stalls for horses.... very dark to see some very expensive paint jobs.... and I've witnessed gang issues in the past...
70 degrees here today, and warmer tomorrow... any luck at all I may try to go for a ride..... but gotta watch out for the gravel (its still down heavy right now)
