Replacement seat ?
Is there a "better" or different seat that fits this bike ?
-
Off Hand I believe corbin was the only one that made an aftermarket seat for the Super X.But I actually don't know.
I do not know of anyone currently making seats for them.... other than private vendors out of their home/shops. There are a few around this area, that will make you a seat for any breed bike.... Plus other vendors advertised in the bike rags.... Alligator Bob being one of them.
What I've seen, it appears a owners have different desires for what they want out of their seat. There are a lot of owners who are very comfortable with the OEM seat.
I found them to be very uncomfortable on long rides..... I had 2 hips replaced, and I'm fairly tall. My kids found a corbin at John Jones and gave me it for Xmas one year.
With our X's, my X 525 has a cowhide corbin decorated with chrome rivets and matching red piping. Blue has ostrich hide.... Both of these seats are very comfortable for the long haul.
The corbins that fit X's are getting to be very rare on Ebay and other sites. And pricey too.
Corbin quit making the Super X seat shortly after the factory shut its doors....
good luck on your pursuit. And if you find something, please come back and post your results. ...

I think Day-long will make a seat on your stock seatpan. I am sorry that I do not have any contact info, but they should be easy to locate on the internet. They are expensive, but the most comfortable seat out there. Good Luck!!

Any Idea what's the part number ?
Or any information that might help me track one down ?
Or a link to a old ebay sell ?
Thanks

I'm sorry Erik....
I do not have a part number...
but I have a few ideas....
down on the bottom this forum site is the "for sale" topics.... put in a request that you are looking for one there.
Next go to our yahoo site.... Excelsriorhendersonresourceboard site.... and post that you are looking for one.... everyone there is friendly.
Even though the corbins are getting rare,.... I'm sure there are owners that have some just sitting around, and would like you sell them.
Also there are quite a few owners who have used outside vendors.... I'd advise you post another down below here, and the yahoo site to ask about other seat vendors and their opinions.
Myself, I've seen Aligator Bobs work..... and it is definitely worth the money, but its big money.
AND..... keep checkin ebay..... that's where we have found 2 corbins. Check it daily, because if it has buy it now on the tag, it'll be gone within a few hours....
