Title: Oil cooler
Post by: 2000EH on July 06, 2017, 01:12:26 PM
Recently purchased a superX with 4300 wanted to sell now I may keep it, at what point does this heat become a issue? Is stopping and going the problem or If I'm cruising will it be ok?

I completely agree with Bob......
If your mefian temp is around 40f, and it's all hiway speeds........
You maybe ok.....
Anything less than list is doing nothing but shortening the life of your esutiful machine.

Fan assisted oil cooler first.
Tune next

Everything else as you can afford it

Thanks for the response I do appreciate your time, honestly the bike is 100% stock minus the Henderson slip ons, I'm gonna do the oil cooler, and tune and take it easy until I get the stuff for trans and everything else in order, I have a road king that I use primarily, this would be a few miles here and there until I get all the bugs worked out
