Looking for guidance on selling a '99 Green and Oyster Super X. I am the original owner, bike has approx.10K miles.
The Good: Bike is in amazing condition. Paint is perfect, chrome is in great shape, shows incredibly well for an 18 yo bike. It has all the factory accessories: windshield, driving lamps, highway bar, sissy bar kit, backrest pad, luggage carrier, saddle bags, baffles knocked out of pipes.
Bike was serviced by Atlantic EH in 2006. All known issues were addressed and updated (transmission, inner primary, wheel hub bearings, steering head bearings, EC oil cooler, tune, ignition lock update, motor mounts. Have the receipts ($3600).
The not so good: The bike has sat covered up in a heated basement for 10 years. (I bought a Goldwing in 2007 and got into Iron Butt riding. I've never returned to the EH). Bike needs tires, battery, gas tank may need red coat, etc..to make it road worthy.
The advice I am seeking is this: should I try to sell it as is? If yes, what's a fair price? Should I remove the accessories and sell separately? Do I invest another $1K to make it road worthy in order to sell it?
Bike is in Tennessee if that matters.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
