Wheel Chocks

So what is the general opinion of wheel chocks?  Do they torque the wheel rim and head bearings in ways not designed for?  i.e. do they warp or twist the rim or springer? Do the Xs have any particular concerns with chocks?

I have a Baxley LA Chopper model which is pricey at 300 new but I got for a third of that used.  It is far more substantial than most chocks I've seen being made of 1.5" steel tubing and wide enough to hold the bike up without being bolted down, but it still balances the weight of the entire bike against the sideways motion of the rim and springer.

The Baxley is one of the sturdiest and easiest to use chocks on the market. I use one on my trailer with several different bikes. The way it holds the bike is probably the least intrusive way to do so. Riding the bike is more taxing on any component than putting it in a chock.

I have 2 different types of chocks...  neither of which I know the name/brand of.... and for what they are I'm happy with them.

how about the handlebar risers?  I have looped tie down straps around the risers below the bars.  The straps tend to get pinched between the two halves of the risers but that hasn't caused me any real issues. 
 Are the handlebar risers threatened by tying to the handlebar?  How much should the isolators allow the handlebar to move?  My bike came with short-apes which probably put more strain on those isolators already. I've been wondering if I should replace the isolators.

Isolators and risers are fine... 
Sometimes on the bars it'll slip the bars. Id be a little wary...

Bought a couple of Condor Trailer Chocks... They work if the X is tied down properly...
