Turn signal electrical problem

I noticed when riding my EH the other day that when using either right of left turn signal that both sides are flashing like my hazards are on, and the hazard switch is off.  I've removed the tank and see no sign of pinched wires.  When I unplugged the headlight connector under the tank or remove the headlight bulb everything seems to work fine.  Any suggestions?

This sounds too easy......
so im going to guess it may not be correct. ...
go get a new head lite.... and try it....

Without sitting down and studying the schematic... I have no idea why/how that would do that.

I tried a different headlight and the problem still exist. When you plug the headlight in and flip on the high beam the hazards start flashing and wont stop until the headlight is disconnected.  Could it be a faulty relay?

You've then have some bare wires on the brite lite side of your harness...
That are rubbing bare wires on the hazard side...

Possible relay issue.... But doubtful...

Check out the schematic that can be found on this site. Print it off. Find the brite lite wire and the 4 way hazard wires.
Then follow them thru one end to the other.....
Don't forget to check out you hand controls too..... Could be a loose one in there.

Bare wire issues on these machines means the bare spot can be as small as a pin head. Believe me, ive been there.
You have a volt meter, it'll really make this job quicker...

It sounds like an open ground circuit to me. Try jumpering the negative side of one of the turn signals to a good ground source. Be sure to look at the schematic to be sure you are grounding the negative side of the circuit!

Ran a ground wire from the negative battery post to a bolt on the frame to make sure I was getting a good chassis ground, and everything started working as it should.  Hid the wire, back up and running again. Problem solved.

I thought so.....I've had ground issues with both of my Super X's as well.
