XH Riders Club Meeting
Meeting started at 7:37 pm est
In attendance Mike Locklear, Phil Marks, Jamie Jones, Mike Seastrom, Rick Wawrzyniak, and Keith Kuhl
Opening comments by President Mike Lock. Today attended a charity motorcycle ride. It was in the 40’s to start, warming to the 50’s. These engines just love that cooler weather, and just run great. The fall rally at the Dells was well attended, with a lot of comradery, I am hoping we build off of that.
Treasury report by Phil. Paypal has $119.53 Merchant bank has $333.25 Pay outs 753.00 to Waz for shipping membership packets, and Mike Seastrom $255.74 for Fall rally at the Dells food.
Merchandising report by Waz. I have got all the membership packets sent out. Found it expensive to send them. We have patches and shirts still in stock. I am paid up as far as my receipts for postage.
Events report by Mike Seastrom I would like to thank all that came to the fall rally at the Wisconsin Dells. It was a great attended rally with a lot of positive feedback. Except for a little rain on Saturday, it was beautiful weather. I would like to thank the local guy’s Todd, Brian and Denny for the great rides and bar b que food stops. Maybe send them thank you cards Will start planning events for next year. Eli is kicking around the idea of a spring rally at Marty and Jamie’s, as sort of a nostalgic theme rally, which Jamie is not opposed to. Maybe spring on west coast in Reno Nevada area, with Keith Neilson helping. Maggie Valley in the fall, get more info on going to Sweden. I am just at the beginning of thinking about next year.
Service report by Jamie. I had a nice conversation with Tom Strohl recently, and he mentioned he was going to be selling his three bikes. They are all in excellent condition and he will be pricing them, accordingly, not giving them away. If you know anyone that would like to join us as owners, you can contact me, and I can put you in touch with Tom. He has a deadwood, a 2000 blue and silver touring bike, and a 1999 red with ghost flames.
New Business. We had 25 spanner wrenches made last year. We discussed putting them out on our Facebook page to let owners know we have them for sale for $25/ wrench. A discussion on club paying for meals at rally. It was voted on and approved that future meals paid for by the club will be voted on prior to the rally, so there is no confusion on what we are paying for. Lock mentioned that he could not find event insurance for this past rally. It is seemingly very hard to find now. If anyone knows of an insurance company offering that service, please let us know. Discussed making a rear tire alignment tool. Discussed with Mike Seastrom putting that on EH parts website, which he is fine with. Discussed having another fall membership raffle as we had last year, Lock will do the raffle like last year, looking for items to raffle. Lock would like to get a list of items for raffle back to him in next week so raffle can happen first of November.
