May 22, 2022                 XH Riders Club Meeting
Meeting started at 7:37 pm est

In attendance Mike Locklear, Jamie Jones, Mike Seastrom, Rick Wawrzyniak, and Keith Kuhl

Opening comments by President Mike Lock. I had a great time out on the west coast, for the West coast rally! Doug Hoffelt, and Greg Cifu had nice rides planned, it was great. There is a lot to see out in that part of the country. I am looking forward to the upcoming East coast rally, and this riding season.

Minutes approved from last meeting.

Due to some technical difficulties, we have no membership report, or treasury report for this meeting

Merchandising report by Waz. I have the pins for the membership packages, and will have shirts ready, as soon as A.J. sends sizes of members. I also have many stickers, and I will send a sample out to the board members.  A.J had more spanner wrenches made that will be made available at $25 each.

Social report by Mike Seastrom. Had a nice talk with Lock about the West coast rally, maybe we can get him to do a small write up about the rally.  East coast rally over Memorial Day weekend has some plans. Will do one Bourbon trail stop, Buffalo trace. Ride in the Kentucky wilderness loop. Lock and Keith are staying till Sunday, so anyone that stays longer, will find rides for Sunday. I have had good feed back for the Dells fall rally. Some locals in the area might help in the planning, Waz, Dennis Wilkerson, Cindy, and Rodney. It’s always helpful when locals to the area help with places to ride, and what to see. Maybe a Sweden rally in 2023??

Technical director report by Jamie. Discussed a device, {inverter} for removing stubborn bolts and screws. The device is a loop of wire, and you would put it on the head of bolt/screw, and it would heat up the bolt/screw, and it would make removing bolt/screw easier after heating up. It would loosen the threader locker material. They are a little spendy at $600-$700. But would help not busting your knuckles, or braking tools.  Discussed the dog bone issue Lock had with his bike out in California. Very rare for anything like that to happen. It is a robust part, and inventory of them is limited.

New Business. Discussion on raffle for fall. Tickets for Wheels Trough Time? Iowa Museum? Barber? More discussion on upcoming meetings. Waz mentioned a Minnesota Xer passed, James Parnam, he spent time at the Shed, as well as rally’s in the past. Discussed on giving the two shirts we got last year from WTT for our donation, at the Dells rally. And to see if we can leave our two tickets to the museum at the front desk for members to use. More discussion to follow.

Meeting ended at 8:15 pm et
