XH Riders Club Meeting
Meeting started at 7:40 pm est April 3rd,2022
In attendance Mike Locklear, Phil Marks, A.J. Fago, Jamie Jones, Mike Seastrom, Rick Wawrzyniak, and Keith Kuhl
Opening comments by President Mike Lock. We had two board members having a good time this weekend, I traveled to Marty and Jamies , had a great time visiting with them. Now have 3 of 4 bikes running. Very excited for all the upcoming rally’s!
Membership report by A.J. We have 46 paid members Discussion on how to renew or sign up for membership on the XH website. Seems a little confusing, maybe contact Dan, and see if ne can’t make it easier to locate sign up tab on website. This year’s membership swag will be a t-shirt with new logo, a pin with new logo, and stickers with new logo.
Merchandising report by Waz. The t-shirts for membership are ready to go, just need sizes. The pin is still in the process of getting information of different designs. Stickers from Mike Hamman are ready. Discussion about the rhinestone shirts that AJ did before. AJ can do them but would take some time to put out the new logo on the machine. Waz will do a write up for merchandise inventory.
Treasury report by Phil. In Paypal we have $3,544.91 Merchant bank $556.54 Paid AJ $58 for flowers for Greg’s memorial.
Social/Events report by Seastrom. Had a great ride today in Arkansas on highway 16 w. Just a nice road, and curves. Maybe we should have a gathering at my house next year! The rally in California is coming along Doug is helping with the rides. The lodging is Comfort Inn. They have blocked 10 rooms. Lock, is going to this rally, shipping his bike to Las Vegas, flying into Vegas, picking up his bike and meet Mike Degrood and ride to California. Rally is May 12-14th. Seeing if we can get A.J. to send out post cards to West Coast riders and let them know about Rally. The Kentucky rally for Memorial Day weekend is coming together, home base will be Black Bear Lodge. Nice riding in area, and the bourbon trail is in that area. They have 4 more rooms available, so book soon. Fall rally in Wisconsin dells planning has started. Received feedback from some up in that area. A word about Daytona, about 10-11 bikes, about 16-17 people attended, good bonding time!
Service director report by Jamie. Received email from a fellow that was going to by an X from a friend, and the friend said that the transmission should be redone before riding. He asked about that, and Jamie explained, that yes that needs to be gone through and checked and fixed. There is not a specific mileage they can fail, as they have happened at all different mileage. Jamie mentioned that they have done over 800 transmissions, 300 gas tanks, 500 fuel pumps. And he remembers when people were on the Yahoo boards 20 years ago, and some newer owners, were not even old enough to remember them boards. So some of the old issues to us, is new to many.
New Business Discussion on how to raffle off the t-shirts from Wheels Through Time. Seems like the Wisconsin Dells is the best place to raffle off. Discussion on if we should do another Wheels Through Time raffle, like last year with the bike raffle off. Discussion about a memorial page, Dave Iadanza has offed to lead that, more discussion on that also. More discussion about theses items at future meetings.
