We are excited to share with you some preliminary information on this trip.

I will be setting up a ZOOM meeting on October 12 @ 9:00 AM CT to go over the trip information and to answer any questions you may have. I will post the link to the meeting several days prior to the call.
Due to the unusual nature of the trip, we will not be using a travel agency. Think of this like a big family vacation. You are responsible for yourself and any traveling partners.
The dates are currently set for June 1-10-2025, this allows for 1 day travel over and 1 day back.
The trip will be based on an 8-day motorcycle tour of the countryside.
There are twelve motorcycles available to rent of which eight will accommodate 2 people. You will be renting the motorcycles directly from the private owners. You must be self-insured for this trip. You will be responsible for any damage to the bike.
There is a $250 deposit per person due by 10-31-2024. This is necessary so we can get final pricing on flights and reserve lodging for next year.
The current airfare out of Chicago is $750 round trip per person. Once we have the exact number of people going and their departure locations, we can provide final flight costs from other locations.
The estimated cost for lodging, bike rental, fuel and misc. transportation is approximately $1500 for the days in the country. A double room will add approximately 300 to that amount. This pricing may change based on worldwide economic factors.
All food, beverages, museum, and other admission costs are at your expense. I suggest that you estimate at least $150 per person per day.
Based on these estimates with Chicago as the departure and return point the trip will cost you $3500- $4000 by the time taxes and fees are added. A second person sharing a bike and lodgings total will be slightly less. This is not a package deal with set pricing. The X-riders club is only helping to coordinate the event. The actual amount spent will be based on you, the individual.

PICK UP BY THE SWEDES IN CARS OR ?BER OR BUS, DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
1 HOUR RIDE TO THE HOTEL IN JONNYS HOME VILLAGE
DAY 2; TRIP BY MOTORCYCLES OR CARS TO UPPSALA.

* UPPSALA TREASURE CHAIMBER-GOLD, SILVER, MEDEIVAL CLOTHES, BURIAL ARTIFACTS FROM GUSTAV VASAS AND JOHAN III BURIAL CERMONY.
* UPPSALA UNIVERSITY MUSEUM- THE SILVER BIBLE FROM THE 1500S. ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS BOOKS IN THE WORLD
* LOCAL RIDES IN THE AREA TO GET TO KNOW THE BIKES ASSIGNED
DAY 3; RIDE TO ?LAND ISLAND IN THE BALTIC SEA BETWEEN SWEDEN AND FINLAND BY FERRY
DAY 4-5; RIDES AROUND THE ?LAND ISLAND WITH LOCAL GUIDES THAT JONNY KNOWS.
DAY 6; VISITING STOCKHOLM FOR A DAY
* THE ROYAL CASTLE
* THE VASA MUSEUM
* OLD TOWN
* OPTIONAL; DROTTNINGHOLM CASTLE, BOAT TRIP TO A SMALL ISLAND IN THE ARCHIPELAGO FOR LUNCH OR DINNER, SKANSEN OPEN AIR MUSEUM
DAY 7; RIDE AROUND M?LAREN LAKE. INTERESTING SCENERY AND VISITING A CASTLE OR TWO ALONG THE WAY.
DAY 8; RETURN FROM ARLANDA AIRPORT
