fork lock
« on: October 22, 2024, 12:43:01 PM »
Hi there,
I had a thought to remove the fork lock as it's completely useless.
Is it enought to remove screw 1399-0044 to stick off the lock 2799-0021? (see page 34 and 35 of the parts manual) Shall I expect any "surprise"??
Thanks anyone!

Luca

I would leave it in, just so it's stock and there isn't a hole in the frame. If you're worried someone might use it and cause it to jam, you could always put some glue down the key hole. That will stop it.

That hole in the frame leads to a hole in the side of the steering neck where it locked the fork. If it's open, water and dirt can get into steering bearing area and cause corrosion.
