Chicago ride

Who's up for an end of season lunch ride in Illinois? Maybe a scoot out Joliet way next Saturday or Sunday? (Nov 2 or 3)

Dropped an email to the usual suspects. Your stomping grounds so any suggestions on a meeting place would be awesome.

Sounds good.  Do we want a bit of a ride first, or just a meet and BS session in the area?

I might make it weather pending and Joliet's a little ride for me. I'd say ride first and BS later if we choose to do so.

So far, the forecast is for partly cloudy and 52.

How about we agree on a time for meeting?  I'll find a cool place to ride to so we can eat / BS.

Got a note from Tony who threw out Boondocks in Seneca as a suggestion. I'm open to timing and starting point.
Maybe we should hook up at Conrads HD just to piss everyone off. :-)

I was thinking of heading out that way, either Boondocks or Fat Daddyz.  I know a great road to take.

I was thinking of meeting at Conrad's, since it's pretty easy to find.

Seneca is probably 45-60 min from Conrad's by back roads.  How about 11-ish at Conrad's?

Directions to Conrads:
From I-55 south, exit at US-52 / Jefferson Street.  Turn left at the top of the ramp.  Go over I-55 and turn left on the Southeast frontage road (Ford dealer on one corner, Rick's RV on the other).  Conrads is on the frontage road about half a mile back north (you'll actually pass Conrads before exiting).

From I-80, exit to I-55 North, go two exits to US-52 / Jefferson Street.  Turn right at the top of the ramp and then an immediate left onto the frontage road (Ford dealer on one corner, Rick's RV on the other).

Should anyone miss the turn onto the frontage road, it's easier to turn around and make a right on the frontage road in front of the Ford dealer.  Going around the block would be a 3 mile long trip.

BTW, I put this on the Yahoo Resource board as well.  I will also copy to FB when I get to my home PC later today.

I won't make it. Will have been up for 31 hours by then. On a side note, bet you guys didn't know that telephone cables have paper insulation that get really wet, well Bruce likely knows this. 2nd all nighter this week. We love paper cable.  :)

5 bikes, 3 of them Xs.  Frank brought his buddy, Ed, and Ed's son, Mike, both on Harleys. Tony, Frank and I rode our Xs. Good road, good weather, good food, good fellowship. Can't wait to do it again!

Envious....  Love it when fellow enthusiasts can get together.... Our fall ride a few weeks ago was cool... More Xs than any other breeds in the group... Sweet, and 2 were R/O... A rare site
