New Lighting parts.
« on: June 24, 2014, 08:35:07 PM »
Greetings all!  I am in process of repairing some damage to my bike (1999 Super X), from the previous owner.  I dint't notice when I purchased it that it was missing front turn signals. As I pulled the front Headlight fixture off to work out some damage to the light retaining ring, and to the headlight housing, I found the two electrical wires for the signals. as well as the cut wire for the horn, which is also missing. I have hit both the Atlantic EH website, as well as johns super X website, but have never found the assemblies I am looking for.  I guess I have several questions.
1) Does anyone have a good after market replacement headlamp to recommend? (the current lamp works but is quite dim.)  I believe that the stock lamp is a sealed 7" 55/60 watt with H4 connection.  But i'll be damned if I can find a good replacement.
2)Does anyone have recommendations for replacements  parts for the two front turn signals which are completely gone? - I had considered finding a full aftermarket set of front and back LED's but have no idea on what would fit our bikes.
3) Does anyone have the stock horn/grill/badge assembly for sale ?

Thanks!
Dan

Dan,
I would recommend you contact Jamie and Marty at Atlantic EH directly. They had a lot of stuff that's not listed on their web page. Also, I have found that certain models of Victory use a similar headlamp nacelle. The opening at the back is different, but the retaining rim, reflector and lens can be used on our bikes.
When I got 741, the retaining rim had a dent in it, so I bought a complete headlamp for a 2005 Victory.....Jackpot, I think it was. Anyway I used the rim, reflector, bulbs and lens. I had to make a small jumper to connect the bulbs to the existing EH plug, but it was very simple to make up. I won't say, however, that it's much brighter than the stock sealed beam bulb. It's about the same.
