EH vs Victory
« on: January 30, 2015, 08:04:19 PM »
A couple of months ago I found and purchased a 2007 Victory KingPin. It's a normal purchase for me ie Junk title but really cheap.
There was about $300 damage on this one, yes $300. Scrapped mirror, crashbar and a dime size nick in the front fender. It came out of Florida and I guess in Florida any crash is a CD crash (complete destruction) However I rebuild these into reverse trikes so I get a new title anyway.
Now to get to EH relevance, I have also owned 3 EH models and what struck me was how similar this Victory is to the EH units. Engine layout is very close and so is much of the other hardware. I can certainly see that the things learned at EH found there way to Victory.
Like the EH the Vic is a nice rig and I am pretty happy with is acquisition.
I have before and after pictures on my website in the gallery section - www.endeavortrikes.com

We still have EH# 009 which is going to get a similar conversion as the KingPin except the fenders are going to match the factory EH units. It will be the only EH Reverse Trike on the planet.

Yes, I see that too. I was looking at older used Victory at a dealer, because I had found out these were American made and there was an EH connection.  After I got my EH, I was told by Marty a little EH history.

Story is that majority of the engineering talent left EH and joined the Victory design team. No surprise they are very similar machines. I agree, I like them.  I sat on one and they feel like should be good riders too.  I dont see just how the dates line up. Seems the Victory was introduced right on the heel of the EH. Maybe a few engineers left EH early on and then others followed as EH went under.

Hope to hear more. There is a lot of history on this forum. You might dig into that. I dont recall anything about the Victory connection.
