Super X Crime Wave
« on: February 05, 2015, 04:25:13 PM »
Thought folks should know another bike was stolen from a storage facility.  This time in Washington state.  The owner said it did not run and was missing parts: no seat, left floorboard, battery cover and tail light.  She will get back to me with the serial number.  It disappeared sometime in the last 3 months.  The storage site says they video everything (HA!) but had nothing on this.  If this strikes a chord with anyone--let me know.

Also, an original E H Road Crew trailer was stolen in Florida.  The local police did track this one down to someone who cut it up to sell for salvage value in the metal.

Anyone storing bikes, etc. at a storage facility may want to review their security.

Keep em safe,

Marty

The worst part is they're cutting these items up for scrap! Since they are rare, they are hard to sell on the black market.
I fear Shawns prediction of his stolen X being scrapped, may be true. Let's just hope it gets recovered before that happens.

Guys, they usually have spies on the look out for what comes and goes from the units. All they see is a bike that "looks" like a Harley when it comes in, therefore they think they are stealing a Fat Boy or Heritage Softail to bust up for parts.

When they realize it isn't what they thought...out comes the torch for scrap. >:(
