Ok...eventually, we will all have an ignition switch come flying apart on us as we're riding down the road. Usually, it's the rotary "butterfly" (or wing) that breaks and comes flying off. I had an odd occurrence last week, the little allen head screws came loose and the whole switch fell out. Luckily, I caught all of the parts, but the two small (I mean SMALL) detent pins and springs (the ones that make the switch "click" when it's turned) could not be found.
These seen like they'd be pretty common, as they just exert tension against the switch housing. Any idea as to what could be substituted...or does anyone have some of these in their stash from broken switches?
