Was able to get a tour of the immediate riding area around St Joseph, Missouri with Mr Blackheart before labor day, and enjoyed some great riding during the weekend.

The X runs as good as she looks, and made extra sure to detail every nook and cranny.  Keeping 1973 in near concours condition is a bit of a task, but one that I'm happy to stay on top of.  Happy labor day X'rs.

Last Saturday, my ABATE chapter held it's annual run.  After, I tagged along with a few friends for them to get a few letters for HOGs "ABCs of Touring 2016".  This sign is on IL38 in Cortland, IL.  IL38 through here is also the most famous of the named highways in America, the Lincoln Highway.

Gorgeous!   The Lincoln highway in Nebraska was a bit of a historic piece too, before the interstate system.

I cheated on fixing 1525 today. I rode the Jennie to lunch and thought I'd take a little detour on the way home. The little detour turned into 260 miles.

Too much time has passed but I finally got back out on two wheels today (thanks to a failed clutch master cylinder on my car  :-[ ).

1663 on Bouquet Canyon Road yesterday. Shaking it down and taking baseline pictures of it after purchase. No bath, no mechanical work, nada. Put almost 200 miles on it and it runs & rides great. The chrome on the front end needs some work but, the rest of the bike seems to be pretty good. I'll wash it today to get a better idea of what I'm really dealing with.
