anyone got or know where to get a replacement rear fender ?

Hi all,

bike just arrived, unfortunately the "small crack and minor scratch" shown in the rather conveniently angled pictures sent to me before purchase look more like a heavy rear ender to the fender.
Its bent both sides and has a 2- 3 inch crack up one side with several deep scratches....havent taken it off yet., but
before I look into repair, just wondering if anyone has any NOS or take off rear fender laying about - factory standard black.

My mild OCD about such things just couldnt let me ride the bike as is...

maybe also looking for a set of saddle bags and a screen too..

How much movement in the bars/ risers  normal on these bikes? ... not something I have noticed on anything else... I even took the risers off as I thought they were loose until I noticed the internal rubber!

Don't strap, the X by the Handlebars!! They will flex  real quick. Plenty of replacement rubber both the upper and lower pieces.. Try the Vendors!

that was actually my initial thought that maybe the bikes had been strapped down by the bars - unfortunately I cant prove it as they had already been unloaded when I got there.
I managed to get them a little tighter, but theres still slight  movement

keep an eye on ebay... they do show up time to time....

Jumper, do you have the address for the manufacturer? Where you used to be able to buy a whole set of blank tins?

Bruce... Called the Manufacturer a few years ago... They trashed the left overs after they sold all they could. No stock now... There ARE new/used Fenders out here... Bike on E-Bay has an X, Tools, Parts (Virgin Sheet Metal) plus a bunch of other stuff... 8K for the package...
