Something Different
« on: October 02, 2011, 03:44:20 PM »
Hey Bruce,
I had been looking for a replacement headlamp bezel since mine was dented when I bought the bike. I found out that the Victory Vegas used the same headlamp nacelle. Victory wanted almost $150 just for the bezel. I found a complete Vegas headlamp assembly on eBay for $85 and promptly used the bezel from it. I then decided to install the composite headlamp that came with it to give my Super X a different look. Check it out, only a simple wire harness with H11 plugs on it is needed to make it work without cutting the stock wiring.

No, they are just standard headlamp bulbs. But I could install HID lamps in it. I would have to run heaver wire and a relay, however. It has enough light for my purposes, I doubt if I'll go HID.

well as hard as I try (you're apparently much better than I on this site.... I cannot get a picture of my X on here...
Just wanted to show you, I have a very similar reflector, with a clear flat lense, and only 1 bulb. I got it at "headwinds.com".... its not a HID either, but a big improvement over the OEM....

I did have trouble at first because the picture file was too big. If you have a program that allows you to resize your picture, or compress it in JPG format, you should be able to attach it. The picture can't be any larger than 250 KB or it won't attach.
